There’s something magical about the experience of floating along with the natural rhythm of the lake on a Stand Up Paddleboard.  Being immersed in nature, the bird song, the sunshine, the sound of the water lapping underneath the board - it’s all quite something!

We’re honoured to host a special SUP series that brings together this wonderful experience with the ancient tradition of women’s circles.  A women's circle is a safe space to come together and be heard; a place to empower one another and share wisdom.

Circle events are limited to 5 participants each time and will run seasonally (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring).

Combining a women’s circle with stand up paddle boarding not only provides you with a new physical challenge but also creates a unique opportunity for you to invest time in your own self development.  SUP is an activity that reconnects you with your body and calms your mind.  No children to interrupt your thoughts, no news updates to distract you, and no devices!

The Floating Women’s Circle is purposefully small – limited only to 5 participants each time – and open to women only.  There is no ‘group work’, no public speaking, and no expectation to share unless you choose to.  This is a private practice within a small group setting.  We’re providing the space, the experience, the tools and the energy for you to create whatever outcomes you choose.

This is not an instructor-led workshop but rather an opportunity for smart, like-minded women to come together and carve space in their day to focus on setting themselves up for success at the start of a new year.

How it works:

This Floating Women’s Circle series includes two stand up paddleboarding group sessions 2 months apart, a SUP RELAX session, women’s circle discussion time, private time anchored on a stand up paddleboard floating on the lake to start work filling in the Habit’s Journal (included), and a private Facebook group to provide regular inspiration and ongoing conversation and accountability active for 66 days (in line with research that shows, on average, it takes 66 days to form a new habit).

Maybe you want to START something – a regular yoga practice, weekly exercise, meal planning, a new sport, connecting more with friends?  Or STOP something – smoking, negative self talk, wasting time on social media, being messy, drinking coffee.  Its entirely up to you!  Working your way through the Habits Journal, you’ll not only learn the tools and tips to create new habits, but also celebrate the habits you love and want to keep!

Dates and Details:

  • Wednesday 30th December, 9.30 – 11.30am

    • Join us for a one hour SUP group paddle including a comprehensive lesson showing you the basics of how to stand, how to paddle, and how not to fall in.

    • Stay on the lake for a SUP RELAX session - inspired by the practices of yoga, tai chi and meditation, you’ll be guided through a relaxing flow of balancing and mindfulness activities while anchored on SUP Boards.

    • We’ll then help you to find a peaceful and private part of the lake and support you in anchoring and stabilizing your board.  You’ll be free to spend time immersed in nature to complete the introductory section of the Habits Journal.

    • We’ll then come together as a group on the lake for a floating ‘opening’ women’s circle discussion.

  • A private Facebook group will be active to provide regular inspiration and accountability as you work to establish your new habits and continue to work through the Habits Journal at home in your own time.

  • Saturday 7th March, 9.30am – 10.30am

    • Returning 66 days later, we’ll reconnect as a group for a one hour SUP group paddle and floating ‘closing’ women’s circle discussion.  Fixing a future date to reconnect as a group encourages accountability to implement the actions you choose to set.

  • Kikki K “Habits Journal” workbook and pen, water and hire of all equipment is included.

Pre-Requisites / Cancellations

No previous SUP or SUP Yoga experience required.  Should strong winds be forecast for either of our scheduled sessions, we will reschedule to another date within the same week (usually the day prior but this will depend on wind forecast).  If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a voucher to attend any of our standard SUP / SUP Relax group sessions.  We will assist you to anchor your board during your chosen lesson so that you can work through your Habits Journal at that time.  You will of course still receive the Habits Journal, be invited to the closed Facebook Group and attend the other scheduled session in the series.  Tickets are non-refundable.
